Jasmine & Derrius
Accompanied by Chicago's incredible skyline, Jasmine and Derrius had a quintessential autumn engagement session in the heart of downtown. We started our session at Milton Lee Olive Park and migrated to the Art Institute of Chicago, located in Millennium Park.
This pair met during their first year of med school in Dayton, OH. Jasmine was a bridesmaid of my September 2018 bride, Blair, and she coincidentally caught the bouquet at Blair's wedding. When Jasmine reached out to me this summer for her May 2020 wedding, I was beyond excited.
Derrius proposed Jasmine this past August on a stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk on their way to breakfast. To her surprise, she came upon her parents, brother, and 5 of best friends standing along the path, all holding different pictures of the couple. Derrius proceeded to use each photo to talk about the things he loved about Jasmine and their relationship. Once he finished, he got down on one knee and proposed!
Jasmine and Derrius will be married Memorial Day Weekend in 2020 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Old Town with a reception to follow at The W-Lakeshore Chicago.
